views Mike Palecek of NewAmericanDream.net, whose new book Johnny Moon takes on the JFK assassination and its era through the eyes of a third-grader in Catholic school. I’ve read JFK assassination fiction by Don Delillo and Norman Mailer, and can tell you that this new novel not only is Mike’s best book yet, it’s much better than Delillo’s and Mailer’s efforts to do justice to the most important event in US history.
Howard Hunt, during his confession to helping kill JFK as part of a CIA plot directed by Cord Meyer and Lyndon B. Johnson, admitted to his son St. John that 11/22/63 was a dark day for democracy. In fact, it was the last day of American democracy, the end of the Republic, and the beginning of the era of pure pathocracy we now are trying to shake off – but won’t, unless we wake up to how bad it is, and launch the 2nd American Revolution. Mike’s book gets everything right. Its rich mix of realism and fantasy as viewed by a precocious third grader, alternately hilarious and horrific, is unlike anything else you’ve ever read.

These are the segments from Geraldo Rivera's late-night ABC-TV talk show "Good Night America", where Abraham Zapruder's famous home movie depicting President John F. Kennedy's assassination in graphic detail is shown to an American audience for the very first time. The date of the program is March 6, 1975.
Famed conspiracy theorist and author Robert Groden is one of Rivera's guests. Also journalist Ralph Schoenman and comedian Dick Gregory.

Good programs this week. (As always.)
Just wanted to say I was incensed to hear the guy that opened your show yesterday. If he truly thinks that those of us protesting the Fed are socialists and communists, well, holy f@#king shit… he's part of the problem.
I was just floored with his opening comments. Really, a truly very ignorant opinion on those protesting. I know liberals and conservatives fighting side by side on this. He was sooooo off the mark. Sad to hear on that your program.
I firmly believe if people would do a deep self examination, they would better understand the false labels they wear. We ALL have liberal and conservative values. The divide is not as neat and clean as the powers that be try to corral us with.
I have always leaned liberal, but only because I fight for the poor man. (WWJD) With that said, I also hold conservative opinions as well. We all do. IE: don't ever try to take our guns. Conservatives like to say all liberals want to take our guns. Nothing could be more absurd. What the parties want and what the people want is more often than not a whole different opinion.
Anyway… I enjoyed your slice of the program though. Always a great effort. The guy that opened really touched a nerve. I had a hard time listening to him. Finally settled down once you got on.
I do not consider myself a Democrat, nor a Republican. I am a Constitutionalist. I voted for Kucinich in 2008. I will vote for Paul in 2012. And I think Obama is nothing more than Bush III. (See my short op/ed on the front page of NewsFocus.)
We need to end the left-right discourse in this country. I truly see it as job one. That is a huge part in removing our shackles. The divide will never end until we can successfully do that.
